Dr Peter Wysocki is a Brisbane general surgeon with experience in benign pancreatobiliary disease, gallbladder and bile duct surgery, hernia surgery, laparoscopic surgery and pilonidal disease. In addition, he looks after patients with skin cancers, benign skin tumours, and ingrown toenails.


He is a credentialed Visiting Surgeon at Sunnybank Private Hospital.

 

Dr Wysocki is the Deputy Director of Surgery at Logan Hospital on Brisbane's south side and a senior lecturer at the Griffith University Medical School.

He is involved in clinical research with multiple peer reviewed publications and instructs on the Early Management of Severe Trauma (EMST) course run by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.

He holds an Honorary Research Fellowship of the Queensland Audit of Surgical Mortality; is the President of the International Pilonidal Society and Editor-in-Chief of the Pilonidal Sinus Journal.

Training

  • Dr Wysocki gained his primary medical qualification through the University of Queensland
  • He completed general surgical training in south east Queensland in 2003
  • Dr Wysocki completed a further 3 years of post fellowship training in Pancreatic and Biliary surgery at:
